Why does it always rain on me?

Water, Water, Everywhere….and I’m not talking about the recent torrential rain that we have seen. I am in fact talking about showers and the plethora of options and choices available to consumers.

To make a shower purchase that little bit easier, there are the more lg_euphoria_AB2501obvious decisions to consider governed by the shower location; for example is it to go over the bath or in an independent shower unit.

Once this decision has been made the starting point is whether to go with an electric shower or mixer option. This decision is often based on the type of boiler in situ and the water pressure within the property. For a mixer you will require a reliable hot water supply and may need a pump with this type of shower if your water pressure isn’t very good. Mixer showers offer a high pressure and invigorating shower, look stunning and also allow you to hide most of the pipework behind your wall. However, if you are looking for a quicker turn around you can also purchase a mixer shower where most of the fittings are exposed on the shower wall. They still look extremely attractive and don’t cost the earth either.

If a mains driven shower is your choice then you can start to select from the huge number of shower head and tap combinations. Here the consumers’ preference will often play a significant part in the choice. Do you for example, go for a Traditional Rigid Riser with Shower Rose & Traditional Handspray; a product such as the Abode AB2501. With this combo you get the best of both shower attachments, with the ability to switch the feeds between fixed overhead or to the flexible attachment to get to those hard to reach places. You can combine this with a traditional tap attachment such as Abode AB2203 creating a classic, sleek and simple design.

Remember you will then need to choose a shower tray, enclosure or screen.

There are extensive options; consideration of the features and look that you want to obtain will help to ease you through the buying process and choose the right type of shower for you.
