How To Clean A Ceramic Sink

Simple Steps To Leave Your Ceramic Sink Spotless

Ceramic sinks are a stunning addition to any kitchen with the brilliant white making the sink really standout however over time and much use you may start to see marks and stains. We’ve put together a short list of easy steps you can take to ensure your ceramic sink is left looking as new after every use.

  1. For best practice we recommend using hot water and a good quality washing up liquid as this will breakup the majority of food stuffs as well as small marks which may occur through regular use. Once you have scrubbed the ceramic sink with a cloth rinse the sink with just water and dry with a clean dry cloth.
  1. If stains still appear you may have a build up of Limescale that can be brought about through the quality of your water. Carron Phoenix recommends a solution consisting of one part vinegar to three parts water in order to loosen the limescale. You can then use a well trusted kitchen cleaner and a cloth to tackle the stain.
  1. Another method we have come across is to sprinkle a small amount of bicarbonate of soda on the stained area and add a dash of vinegar. The mixture will fizz and you can then scrub the stain with a cloth.

However you decide to clean your ceramic sink you should always rinse with just water and wipe dry with a cloth. This will prevent the build up of any limescale or food stuffs whilst also preventing the build up of harmful bacteria.
