Consumer Electronics Show and the Gorenje BO9950AX Built-in Single Oven

With technology growing ever smarter and more advanced by the day, the capabilities of lg_BO9950AXour appliances never fail to amaze us. But when does the technology go too far to the point that the features seem arbitrary? The additional features may seem be great, but when are you ever actually going to take the time to upload photos to your fridge for viewing? (This feature was revealed at the annual Consumer Electronics Show on the ‘LG Smart Fridge’). And with a price tag in the range of £2000, you could end up paying more for extra features that offer no bonus practicality to your lifestyle.

We have been looking at some of the cutting-edge technology showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show 2013 and while we have of course still been impressed with the exciting features on display – we recognised a lot of the features from some older products.

A perfect example of this is the ‘Android powered oven’ revealed by Dacor at this year’s CES. While the features still sound cutting-edge and are an exciting advancement in technology, we’re pretty sure Gorenje beat them to it with the Gorenje BO9950AX Built-in Single Oven.

With a smart phone style touch screen display, the Gorenje BO9950AX HomeChef oven allows you to instantly change oven settings, and create pre-sets so that you can prepare your favourite dishes with ease. As well as custom pre-sets, the oven also comes with built in cooking programmes for common family favourites, and automatically sets the temperature and time for you! The oven is perfect for cooks of any level and would make a great addition to any kitchen from just £929.80 including free delivery and 5 year warranty, find out more and view the product here.
